  (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Argentinean president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has lost a great deal of popular support since the start of the year, according to a poll by Management & Fit. 23.6 per cent of respondents approve of Ms. Kirchner, down 27.9 points since January.


• German Conservatives Have 10-Point Lead
  (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - The Christian-Democratic Union (CDU) and the Bavarian Christian-Social Party (CSU) remain on top in Germany, according to a poll by Infratest-Dimap. 37 per cent of respondents would vote for either party in the next federal election.


• Obama Has Larger Lead Over McCain in U.S.
  (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Democrat Barack Obama remains ahead of Republican John McCain in the United States, according to a poll by Ipsos-Public Affairs released by the Associated Press. 46 per cent of respondents would vote for the Illinois senator in this year’s presidential election, while 42 per cent would back the Arizona senator.


• Christofias Highly Popular in Greek Cyprus
  (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Three-in-four residents of Greek Cyprus are content with the job of their recently-elected president, according to a poll by Noverna published in Politis. 75 per cent of respondents approve of the performance of Dimitris Christofias.
