    (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Many people in the United States and Britain are skeptical about the scheduled timetable for the end of the Iraq War, according to a poll by Angus Reid Public Opinion. 31 per cent of respondents in the U.S.—and 21 per cent of respondents in Britain—are very or moderately confident that all U.S. forces will withdraw from Iraq by the end of 2011.

  • Chileans Expect Good PiƱera Administration
    (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - Most people in Chile expect the government of president-elect Sebastián Piñera to be good, according to a poll by La Tercera. 62 per cent of respondents share high expectations regarding the new president, while 24 per cent think his performance will be just average.

  • Aquino Leads All Candidates in the Philippines
    (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - "Noynoy" Aquino of the Liberal Party (PLP) is the strongest candidate in this year’s presidential campaign in the Philippines, according to a poll by Social Weather Stations published in Business World. 42 per cent of respondents would vote for Benigno Aquino III in the May election.

  • Czech Social Democrats Bounce Back
    (Angus Reid Global Monitor) - After a significant dip in popularity, the main opposition party in the Czech Republic has regained momentum, according to a poll by SANEP. 33.1 per cent of respondents would vote for the Czech Social Democratic Party (CSSD) in the next legislative election, up 5.6 points since January.
